Day-by-day itinerary
Day1Airport or Port – Tangier
Pick-up and a visit to Cap Spartel and the Hercules Caves. Tea at Café Hafa with views over the Mediterranean. Overnight in a riad.
Day2Tangier – Chefchaouen
Free time in the blue medina, Uta el Hammam square and the Ras el Maa waterfall. Overnight in a riad.
Day3Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fez
The ruins of Volubilis and the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Arrival in Fez. Overnight in a riad.
Day4Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Boulaajoul
Guided tour of Fez: the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarter and the medina. Through Ifrane and the cedar forests to Boulaajoul. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day5Boulaajoul – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Desert
Midelt and the Ziz Valley on to Merzouga. A dromedary ride and a night at the camp.
Day6Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Sunrise in the dunes, Rissani market, the Todra Gorges and the Dades Valley. Overnight in a riad.
Day7Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Taourirt Kasbah, Ait Ben Haddou and a crossing of the High Atlas. Overnight in a riad in Marrakech.
Day8Marrakech
Guided tour: El Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, the Mellah, the Koutoubia Mosque and the Ben Youssef Madrasa. Free afternoon. Overnight in a riad.
