Day-by-day itinerary
Day1Airport – Casablanca
Meet and greet at the airport. If there is time, the Hassan II Mosque, the Corniche and Pigeon Square. Overnight in a hotel.
Day2Casablanca – Rabat – Souk Larbaa – Ouazzane – Chefchaouen
The Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hassan Tower in Rabat. Through Souk Larbaa and Ouazzane to Chefchaouen. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day3Chefchaouen
A full day in the blue town: the medina, traditional wash houses, the kasbah on Uta el Hammam square and the climb to the White Mosque. Overnight in a riad.
Day4Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fez
The ruins of Volubilis, a view of Moulay Idriss and arrival in Fez at sunset. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day5Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Boulaajoul
Guided tour of Fez: the Royal Palace, the Mellah, the South Tower viewpoint, the medina and the university. In the afternoon, Ifrane and the cedar forest. Dinner and overnight in a riad in Boulaajoul.
Day6Boulaajoul – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Desert Camp
Midelt, the Ziz Valley and arrival in Merzouga. Dromedaries to the camp, sunset, dinner and Berber music. Night in a haima (Berber tent).
Day7Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomad Visit – Merzouga
A 4×4 drive around Erg Chebbi with the 250-metre Great Dune, the Tissardmin oasis, a nomad settlement, a viewpoint and Gnawa music in Khamlia. Afternoon at a Berber guesthouse. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day8Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Sunrise in the dunes, Rissani market, fossilised marble in Erfoud, palm groves, the Todra Gorges and the Dades Valley with the "monkey paw" mountains. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day9Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Boutagrar – Skoura Palm Grove – Ouarzazate
The Dades viewpoint, Ait Youl Kasbah, a nomad family living in caves in the Boutagrar Valley, the Valley of the Roses and the Skoura palm grove. Dinner and overnight in a hotel in Ouarzazate.
Day10Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
Taourirt Kasbah, the film studios, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Arrival in Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day11Marrakech
Free day in the medina, the souk and the palaces. Overnight in a riad.
Day12Marrakech – Essaouira
The medina, the 18th-century fortifications and the seafront promenade of Essaouira. Overnight in a riad.
Day13Essaouira – Safi – El Jadida – Casablanca
A drive along the Atlantic coast with a stop in El Jadida and arrival in Casablanca. Overnight in a hotel.
Day14Casablanca – Airport
Free day until your flight time, then transfer to the airport.
