Day-by-day itinerary
Day1Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Desert Camp
The Middle Atlas, the cedar forest with the Gouraud Cedar, lunch in Midelt and the Ziz Valley. In Merzouga, welcome tea and a dromedary caravan to the camp, with a stop for the sunset. Dinner, Berber music and a night in a haima (Berber tent).
Day2Merzouga – Nomad Visit – Khamlia – Merzouga
Sunrise at 6:00 am over the dunes and a dromedary ride back for breakfast. By 4×4 around Erg Chebbi: the Tissardmin oasis, a nomad settlement and Gnawa music in Khamlia. Free afternoon. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day3Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Rissani and Erfoud with the fossilised marble factory, the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad and the Todra Gorges. In the afternoon, the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day4Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Boutagrar – Skoura Palm Grove – Ouarzazate
The Dades viewpoint, Ait Youl Kasbah and a track through the Central High Atlas to a nomad family in Boutagrar. Lunch in Kelaa Mgouna, the Skoura palm grove and arrival in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day5Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
Taourirt Kasbah and the film studios, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and a crossing of the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass with panoramic stops. Arrival in Marrakech.
