Day-by-day itinerary
Day1Airport – Marrakech
Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the riad. Free day to discover Jemaa el-Fna square and the souk.
Day2Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat
The Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. In Rabat, Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Kasbah of the Oudayas. Overnight in a riad.
Day3Rabat – Chefchaouen
Arrival in the blue town of the Rif. The medina, Uta el Hammam square, the Ras el Maa waterfall and craft shops. Overnight in a riad.
Day4Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
The Roman ruins of Volubilis, a short visit to Meknes and arrival in Fez at sunset. Overnight in a riad.
Day5Fez – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Boulaajoul
Guided tour of Fez: the Royal Palace, the Mellah, the medina and the university. In the afternoon, Ifrane and the cedar forest with the Gouraud Cedar and its monkeys. Dinner and overnight in a riad in Boulaajoul.
Day6Boulaajoul – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
Midelt, the Ziz Valley and arrival at the Merzouga dunes. Dromedary ride, sunset in the dunes, dinner and music around the campfire. Night in a haima (Berber tent).
Day7Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomad Visit – Khamlia – Merzouga
Sunrise in the dunes and a 4×4 drive around Erg Chebbi: the Tissardmin oasis, a nomad settlement and Gnawa music in Khamlia. Afternoon at a family-run Berber guesthouse. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day8Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Rissani market, a fossilised marble factory in Erfoud, the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad and the Todra Gorges. Arrival in the Dades Valley via Boumalne. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day9Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Taourirt Kasbah and the film museum in Ouarzazate, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the Tizi n'Tichka pass and an argan cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech. Overnight in a riad.
Day10Marrakech – Airport
Transfer to the airport according to your flight time, with free time in Marrakech if you leave in the afternoon.
