Day-by-day itinerary
Day1Airport – Marrakech
Meet and greet at the airport and transfer to the riad. Free day to explore Jemaa el-Fna square, the souk and the Koutoubia Mosque.
Day2Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Pick-up at 8:00 am. The Tizi n'Tichka pass, an argan cooperative, the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. Through the Valley of the Roses to the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day3Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Desert Camp
Panoramic views of the gorges and the road of the kasbahs to the Todra. Arrival in Merzouga, welcome tea and a dromedary caravan with sunset in the dunes. Dinner, Berber music and a night in a haima (Berber tent).
Day4Merzouga – Erg Chebbi – Nomad Visit – Khamlia – Merzouga
Sunrise in the dunes. By 4×4 along the Paris-Dakar Rally tracks to the Tissardmin oasis and a nomad settlement. Gnawa music and tea in Khamlia. Afternoon at a family-run Berber guesthouse. Dinner and overnight in a riad.
Day5Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Rissani market, the most important in southern Morocco, and arid landscapes on the way to the Draa Valley. Arrival in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day6Ouarzazate – Telouet – Marrakech – Essaouira
The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Telouet Kasbah, the former residence of Pasha El Glaoui. A crossing of the Atlas and on to the Atlantic coast. Sunset from the ramparts of Essaouira. Overnight in a riad.
Day7Essaouira – Marrakech
Free day in the Pearl of the Atlantic: the medina, the beaches and the Portuguese citadel. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon. Overnight in a riad.
Day8Marrakech – Airport
Transfer to the airport according to your flight departure time.
