From Marrakech
The shortest escape to the desert: the High Atlas, Ait Ben Haddou and a night in a haima (Berber tent) among the Zagora dunes.
An early start across the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass. Visit the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site, and have lunch in the village of Tazentoute. We continue through Agdz to Zagora, where a dromedary ride takes us to the Berber camp for dinner and a night in a haima (Berber tent).
Breakfast in the desert, then back via Ouarzazate, with the option of visiting Taourirt Kasbah or the Atlas film studios. Lunch, a crossing of the Atlas and a stop at a women's argan oil cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening.
